  3. What makes earth a wonderful place for you, personally?

Why I created this guide

I apologize for such a long introduction, but I feel it necessary to provide some context. Feel free to skip ahead to the start of the guide if you prefer.

I’ve realized that there’s a gap in the online world for genuine, practical guides on how to truly enjoy life on this planet. So, I decided to challenge myself to create one, hoping it would be helpful not just for me, but for others too.

“The meaning of life is just to be alive. It is so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves.”

– Alan Watts

In our modern world, it’s easy to disconnect from nature. We often forget that we are of this earth, and that nurturing it nurtures us. I’ve spent countless hours searching for answers on how to improve myself, only to find that most self-help content out there is either superficial or filled with obvious platitudes. What I needed – and what I believe many of us need – are simple, actionable steps to reconnect with our world and find joy in it.

This guide isn’t about complex self-improvement strategies. Instead, it offers easy, doable things that can help you enjoy the earth – or in other words, be happy. It’s based on what I’ve learned over the years, insights I’ve gained through tough experiences, and wisdom I’ve gathered from thinkers like Alan Watts and philosophies such as Zen and Taoism. Regardless of your background, beliefs, or culture, I hope you’ll find something here that resonates with you and helps you rediscover the wonder of being alive on this incredible planet.
